I went up to Sutherland gym this morning for my first workout since finishing up at the cardio rehab 2 weeks ago, the place was packed and reminded me of a gents loo a bit with no one looking at anyone else, I just listened to the mp3 and did the required exercises, not at all like the rehab which was quite social everyone cursing the machines and difficulty you know.
Anyway there was this bloke in the weights room was hopping up onto a bench then jumping as far as he could across the room in a sort of apelike manner it was comic to watch this musclebound hmmmmmmmmmm whats the word, Mufti? no that's not it, Wally, doing this ape thing, it quite made my day. No matter how fit I get I shall never ever do the ape jump.
I saw something weird on the news, what was it? ohhh yeah the Asian games disqualification of Indian Santhi Soundarajan ha who was stripped of the Asian Games women's 800 metres silver medal after failing a gender test in Doha. The Indian Olympic Association says the 25-year-old was asked to undergo a femininity test after her race earlier this month and the Olympic Council of Asia then directed India to return the medal. Santhi's disqualification allows third-placed Viktoriya Yalovtseva of Kazakhstan to claim silver. I wonder if he got selected for the event because of a pre school incident where he competed by accident in the girls 100 meter dash, also how hairy is the Kazakhstany?
